ingarden joins 1% for the planet to further it's sustainability commitments

Portland  – April 25, 2023 – We are excited to announce today that ingarden has joined 1% for the Planet, a global movement of companies that donate at least 1% of their annual sales to environmental causes.

ingarden is committed to sustainability and has already taken several steps to reduce its environmental impact, such as manufacturing with only with long-lasting, sustainable materials. Moreover, the seed pads are 100% compostable and do not harm the planet. By joining 1% for the Planet, ingarden is taking its commitment to sustainability to the next level by giving back 1% of sales annually to organizations fighting against climate change and pollution.

"We are thrilled to join 1% for the Planet and contribute to a better future for our planet," said Mariana, Co-CEO of ingarden. "We believe that every business has a responsibility to protect our environment, and we are committed to doing our part. By donating at least 1% of our sales to environmental organizations, we can make a positive impact and inspire others to do the same."

1% for the Planet was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies. Today, the movement has over 2,000 members in more than 60 countries, and has donated over $300 million to environmental causes.

“Once we launched our ingarden ocean made from recycled ocean waste plastic, it became a no brainer.” Said Co-CEO Christian Saitner. “We have already committed to donating 1 meal to a kid in need for every ingarden sold and now we are also giving back 1% of profits from our sales to further our give back and sustainability efforts.”
